Masdevallia zumbuehlerae

This is an orchid that I had the honor of finding in the wilds of Ecuador.  It had not been named scientifically.  The name given zumbuehlerae was in honor of my Aunt Hedwig who introduced me to orchids.  her maiden name was Zumbuhl.  I will forever be in gratitude for her introduction to the worlds largest flowering plant family!  It's description is below.  Dr. Carlye Luer keyed out the orchid and published it.
